The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center – Making a Difference with Kids

The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center is an independent, non-profit licensed organization whose purpose is to promote the health and well-being of infants and children through services which establish and strengthen the family. Our three signature programs, Adoption, Child’s Way®, and the Pediatric Specialty Hospital work independently and collaboratively to accomplish our mission.

Our licensed infant Adoption program, founded in 1893, provides lifelong, comprehensive support services. The Children’s Home supports birthparents, adoptive parents and adopted persons throughout all stages of the adoption process and beyond with placement and supportive services which include: family studies, infertility counseling, post-adoption counseling, pregnancy counseling and support groups and help with research and reunion. Whether a person is facing an unplanned pregnancy, considering adoption, or hoping to adopt, we are here to support their decisions. [Read more…]
