Kids+ Pediatrics Comes to Cranberry Twp!

Kids Plus Pediatrics opened a new office in Cranberry/Seven Fields this month, and you can almost hear the cheering of parents in our area.  The practice has been around for 30 years, with locations in Pleasant Hills and Squirrel Hill/Greenfield, but until now, parents and patients had to trek from the North Hills for office visits.

Located at 671 Castle Creek Drive, right off Route 228, Kids Plus Pediatrics is physician-owned, family-focused and fiercely independent.  “We have 19 providers on staff, and because the practice is physician-owned, our staff has put their money where their mouths and hearts are,” said Chad Hermann, communications director for Kids Plus.

When it comes to health care, parents want access to physicians and current information.  “Almost all of our physicians have children.  We’re not just doctors, but parents as well and have modeled our practice to serve parents and patients,” Hermann said.  Therefore, Kids Plus Pediatrics schedules same-day sick visits seven days and four nights a week and offers no-appointment necessary walk-in hours five mornings and four evenings a week.  At the new Cranberry office, Kids Plus will be piloting all-day, no-appointment necessary, walk-in hours.

Kids Plus Pediatrics is also home to the Breastfeeding Center of Pittsburgh, which is headed by Dr. Nancy Brent, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.   Dr. Todd Wolynn teaches Quiet Night Sleep Class, for parents struggling with little ones who don’t sleep well.

Kids Plus Pediatrics believes open communication is essential.  “We like to think of ourselves as the first 21st Century pediatric practice,” Hermann said.  “We have the largest, most active social media presence in the area, and the American Academy of Pediatrics holds up our Facebook page as the industry model.”  In addition, Kids Plus Pediatrics maintains an online patient portal where parents have access to medical records.

“Kids Plus Pediatrics accepts all major and most minor health insurances, and insurance companies consistently award us their absolute highest ratings,” Hermann said.

Kids Plus Pediatrics is accepting new patients.  For more information on the practice, visit their website at www.kidspluspgh.com or their Facebook page.
