Kids + Family Fair Editorial Text

On Saturday, April 29th from 10am to 3pm, Kids Plus Pediatrics will host their 3rd Annual Kids Plus Family Fair at their office on Castle Creek Drive in Seven Fields. The free event, co-sponsored by Northern Connection, features games, activities, live music, local vendors, food, and fun for the whole family.

Kids Plus Pediatrics hosted their first Family Fair in April of 2015, a little less than two years after opening their Cranberry/Seven Fields office, as a way to give back to the community.

“We’re always looking for ways to serve children and families in our region,” says Dr. Todd Wolynn, one of the practice’s physician owners. “We think of our offices as destinations, places where everyone can meet, learn, grow, and have a lot of fun.”

With entertainment inside the office, filling the parking lot, and in the picnic area behind the office, there’s always plenty of fun to go around. Kids of all ages can play in bounce houses, try an inflatable outdoor sliding board, or build and create with life-sized Imagination Playground blocks. They can get their own art from balloon master Weird Eric, or turn themselves into art with the help of Face Painting by Nancy.

For the third straight year, the Adams Area Fire District will be on hand with two rescue vehicles, including the always popular bucket truck, for kids to see and explore. For the second straight year, the Kids Plus Family Fair will feature live performances from teenage rock bands. This year’s featured band, Electric Army, won Pittsburgh CAPA’s 2017 Battle of the Bands. They’ll be playing sets of classic and original songs at 11am and 1pm.

Two of Pittsburgh’s most popular food trucks — Franktuary and Oh My Grill — will be selling hot dogs and grilled cheese all day, and there will be lots of other special treats for kids, giveaways, raffle prizes, and more.

Dr. Wolynn calls the Kids Plus Family Fair “one of our favorite days of the year. To see so many happy, smiling children and families — it doesn’t get much better than that.”

The Psychic Vincent Sisters: Communicating Beyond the Veil

vincent-sistersBy Marianne Reid Anderson

It began when they were children. Their Grandma had passed to the other side and yet, she appeared to Suzanne and Jean Vincent. Suzanne, then 12 years old, went to her mother and said, “I see Grandma coming through the veil.” Grandma was appearing not only to comfort the children regarding her demise but also to explain where she had hidden some very important papers. Their mother, also a medium and student of the metaphysical, believed her children, found the papers and began taking the girls to the Puritan Spiritualist Church to begin their training as mediums.
