About Us

Our Mission…

is to connect the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh by publishing the area’s finest community publication: Northern Connection Magazine.  We are dedicated to the people, community, educational, religious, travel and recreational needs of the area.

All members of the Northern Connection Magazine team are living, working and involved in the community that we represent.

Northern Connection Magazine has been in circulation for 15 years, longer than any other community magazine in the area.  NC’s distributes up to 20,000 magazines per month and uses distribution companies that restock the racks throughout the month so you can always find a copy!  NC magazine is always out the first business day of the month and available online as well.

Northern Connection Magazine exclusively directly distributes into 23 of the area’s private and parochial schools.  NC magazine is distributed from the North Shore to Butler and Fox Chapel to Sewickley.

Northern Connection Magazine keeps it in the community!  NC employs and uses all local employees from our printer to our distribution team.  NC is PROUD to support our local economy!

Northern Connection Magazine uses a high quality of paper.  NC works closely with a local printer to ensure that our advertisers and readers receive a quality publication – one printed on better quality of paper so the magazine has a coffee table appeal.

Northern Connection Magazine uses professional writers and experts for editorial.  NC uses writers and experts in their field for our editorial content as opposed to printing press releases.  NC strives on discovering local features to highlight each month a long with monthly columns that inspire and enlighten.

Northern Connection Magazine gives back!  We work with many charitable organizations and sponsor many local events.

Some of the charities we work with are: The Glimmer of Hope Foundation, which is a local charity for premenopausal breast cancer research.  We work  with the founder, Diana Napper, to promote breast cancer awareness by being the media sponsor for their main fundraisers: The Bid for Hope, hosted by Pittsburgh Steelers Heath Miller and his wife Katie and The Pitch for Hope, hosted by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

St. Barnabas Charities and their events throughout the year is another charity that we are proud to sponsor.  Northern Connection Magazine and Pittsburgh 55+ Magazine are the signature sponsors for Kean Quest talent search, held yearly at the Kean Theatre.

UPMC Senior Communities and their event UPMC Senior Services Celebrating Senior Champions is another charity that we are proud to sponsor each year to help raise money for seniors in need.  (At all of these events we distribute extra magazines.)

All issues are available on our website and we also utilize and have a strong presence on social media including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to doing business with you.

“Together we continue to make our community an outstanding place to live and work!”
