Hutchko_web       Franklin Park native Sydney Hutchko currently resides in Nashville, Tenn., where she is a country music singer/songwriter.   She has been singing and song writing since she was 12 years old and is thrilled that she is fulfilling her life’s dream.  Hutchko’s success and musical talents continue to flourish as she performs at various venues across the tri-state area near her hometown.

She returned to the area last month and was the opening act for Josh Thompson when he took center stage on March 15 at the Pepsi Roadhouse in Burgettstown.

Hutchko is preparing to team up with Chad Carlson, a Grammy-Award winning producer and engineer. The two co-wrote a song together and he will be producing her next EP (extended play).    Carlson is well known in Nashville where he has received accolades for his collaborations with renowned performers Trisha Yearwood and Taylor Swift.

Next up for Hutchko, she will be heading to Florida to perform at Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI) Key West Songwriter’s Fest.  This five-day event will run from May 1-5, it will showcase 100+ performers in 30+ shows on 25+ stages.   Additionally, BMI has invited Hutchko to sing at one of their Nashville Showcases for industry executives.

On May 12, she will participate in the Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure at Schenley Park.  Hutchko will sing the national anthem and perform during a very moving survivor ceremony.  She will also present an hour show during the race.

She was involved with this organization this past fall, when Hutchko sang at the Susan G. Komen “Paws for the Cure” fundraiser on October 7, at Hartwood Acres.  This is the second year in a row that she participated in the canine affair.

“This has become one of my favorite events.  It is great to be able to give back, as well as spend time with such a fantastic hard-working organization.  Their love and support to those in need is overwhelming, and it’s just life-affirming to witness,” Hutchko said.

In July and August, Hutchko will come home for two summer musical events.  She will perform at the Rockin the Mon concert 8 p.m., July 27 at the Monongahela Aquatorium.  In August, Hutchko will add some flare to The Pyrotechnics Guild International “Boom and a Blast” show as she headlines the event.  She will sing the National Anthem as it is synchronized to fireworks.  This event will take place 8:30 p.m., August 14, at Cooper’s Lake and Campground, 205 Currie Rd., Slippery Rock.
